ITG Terminals Ltd. Introduction
Xiamen ITG Terminals Ltd., one of the key subsidiaries of Xiamen
ITG Group Corp. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ITG), provides
stevedoring operations, storage, warehousing and other relative
logistics services for containers and bulk-cargoes.
The ITG Terminals locates in Dongdu Harbor in Xiamen. Operating
the No. 20 and No. 21 berth, the company has a wharf with a
quay length of 550 meters and a minimum along side depth of
500 meters. The harbor occupies a floor area around 250,000
square meters in total. The berths are designed for the accommodation
of 50,000 DWT container vessels with a depth of the water way
of 12 meters. The elevation at the bottom of apron is 13.5 meters.
The area for the vessels to turn around is 700 meters by 500
meters with a depth of 12 meters. With one the deepest berths
in Dongdu Harbor, the terminal has a designed throughput of
400,000 TEU and bulk-cargo of 600,000 tons. In the near future,
the figure of the throughput will undoubtedly increase while
the terminal’s developing the No. 22 berth within the Dongdu
Harbor. Furthermore, Xiamen ITG Terminals owns advanced handling
and transport equipments, including 2 sets of bridge cranes
with 2 jibs and the maximum loading capacity of 60 tons as well
as the maximum outreach of 20 feet; 4 sets of gantry cranes;
2 sets of multi-purpose gantry cranes with the maximum loading
capacity of 40 tons and the maximum outreach of 33 meters and
so on.
With all these advanced facilities, the wharf is able to fulfill
the need of modern shipping operation and to provide efficient,
reliable and qualified services for our customers by accompanying
with the IT operation system on the cutting edge. For the purpose
of satisfying the growing need of throughput, the company plans
to purchase one more bridge crane and two more gantry cranes,
which will be available at the middle of 2008.
